HA - Ivanhoe I have been in a combat zone - not Hillary Clinton style, but the 7 times I've been to Northern Ireland in the early 90's. I can't tell you the times we have been stopped by the British Army. Many nights we would have a police officer and a Brittish Soldier. Peeking in the bushes, you would see the remainiing 11 hiding and peering out over their machine guns. Once we had to go through a check point to cross over the border. You had to drive through the barracks, that was kinda scary. Other times, you would pass them walking in the road and you would be driving in the car and they would kneel down and follow the car with their guns, until we were out of sight. (Ive also been in a town that was so IRA the Brittis Army would not even enter and enforce laws. THAT would be the time I danced like a fool and didn't care. I came to realize that I was the ONLY ONE doing YMCA.

I've ridden an elephant twice. We use to have the Great Circus parade here in Milwaukee. The week prior to the parade, you could go to the circus grounds and visit a carnival. We also have ridden a camel there, the zoo and our local Holiday Stroll Parade.

My humanitarian mission was trying to have food available to students in our school, although I was unsuccessful, I worked at that for one year.

Amber, I've held a tarantula twice, I've seen wild whales off the coast of Boston and once when we were in Florida, our friends nephew tried to teach me how to surf. New Symra Beach - 40 miles south of Daytona.. I recommend it to everyone. A great vacation place.

I was hoping that the tarantula one was false, for your sake, but I see that you are braver than I.

Great list. I know so much more about you now!

I would have never thought of Ireland as combat zone... I guess I was "stuck" with the rule that females serving in army are not being allowed to combat zones so it sounded like an easy one (even if you would have been in Army)

I missed all three? Darn. I give up, you must tell :o)

Not to get all techinical on you. But Northern Ireland and Ireland are technically two different countries. Ireland was invaded by England. They kept 6 counties (states) and 26 counties stayed with Ireland. If you ever see the bumper sticker 26 + 6 = 1, actually started as a political statement for the IRA. It means they all equal 1 of Ireland. They all had their own moneies, and neither England or Ireland would take Northern Ireland's money if you were in the respective countries. Anyhow,

I have not.....

11. Bungee jumped
41. Gone sky diving
82. Taken a canoe trip that lasted more than 2 days

and a mistake of...four
87. Gotten someone fired for their actions

But THANKS for playing and being interested... now your turn!

And tonight I was lucky enough AGAIN to do #174. Had a song dedicated to you at a concert. Always good to have family members that play in bands!
